Having identified the high speed broadband internet as one of the key requirements that contribute towards rapid socio - economic development of the country, the Secretary to the President and the Chairman TRCSL Mr. Lalith Weeratunga has taken strategic measures to accelerate and promote high speed broadband internet in Sri Lanka.
As stated in the “Mahinda Chinthanaya” to provide affordable high speed internet to Sri Lankans by the year 2013, a special Committee has been appointed under Mr. Weeratunga’s chairmanship that comprises industry experts from the Presidential Secretariat, TRCSL and the ICTA. |
