The
Telecommunications Regulatory Commission
of Sri Lanka hereby notifies the General
Public that under Section 18A of the Sri
Lanka Telecommunications Amendment Act
No.27 of 1996, issue of Permits to the
Operators for resale of telecommunication
services shall commence from 01st July
2000.
According
to Section 18A of the said Act, an Operator
shall not permit the use of the telecommunications
system in respect of which a license is
issued to such Operator by any other person
for the purpose of reselling of Telecommunications
services, by way of a business without
obtaining the prior approval of the Commission.,
Accordingly,
any person carrying on the business of
reselling telecommunication services should
register with the relevant Operator whose
telecommunications system is used by such
person-for resale of telecommunication
services.
