Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka has initiated a project to assist telecommunication subscribers with special needs (Visually Impaired, Hearing Impaired and Physically Impaired Persons) under the Government's 100 Day Revolution Programme.

To all mobile telephone users
It has been brought to the notice of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka, that International Calls are terminated to the national telecommunication network via the networks of mobile operators.
In the event such termination of International Calls are observed in future, Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka, will order the mobile telephone service providers to disconnect any mobile telephone that is being used for such unauthorised international telephony.

To all radio frequency users
- Issue/renewal of Licences for use of Radio Frequency and Radio Frequency Emitting Apparatus under Section 22 of the Sri Lanka Telecommunications Act No.25 of 1991 as amended by Act No.27 of 1996 shall be in accordance with the Regulations and Rules stipulated by Gazettes Extraordinary of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka bearing Nos. 929/10 and 1104/4, dated 1996.06.25 and 1999.11.01 respectively.
- Accordingly every application for issue' 'renewal of a Licence under Section 22 shall be made in the prescribed form stipulated in the aforesaid Gazette No. 929/10.
- You are required to apply for issue/renewal of the licence within 4 weeks of this Notice.
- Issue/renewal of this Licence shall be only on payment of the prescribed fees and settlement of arrears in full.
- Failure to apply for the Licence within the stipulated time in Paragraph (3J above will result in the withdrawal of Radio Frequencies allocated and sealing of Radio Frequency emitting apparatus.

Registration of communication bureaux
The Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka hereby notifies the General Public that under Section 18A of the Sri Lanka Telecommunications Amendment Act No.27 of 1996, issue of Permits to the Operators for resale of telecommunication services shall commence from 01st July 2000.
According to Section 18A of the said Act, an Operator shall not permit the use of the telecommunications system in respect of which a license is issued to such Operator by any other person for the purpose of reselling of Telecommunications services, by way of a business without obtaining the prior approval of the Commission.,
Accordingly, any person carrying on the business of reselling telecommunication services should register with the relevant Operator whose telecommunications system is used by such person-for resale of telecommunication services.
