Meeting of SATRC Working Group on Spectrum 27 May 2015 - 28 May 2015 - Colombo, Sri Lanka

The Meeting of the Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT) SATRC Working Group on Spectrum will be held from 27 to 28 May 2015 in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The meeting is organized by the APT and hosted by the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL).

This meeting is a part of the activities under SATRC Action Plan Phase V which was adopted by the 15th Meeting of the SATRC in Paro, Bhutan in 2014. The objective of the meeting is to conduct the Working Group activities on the work items assigned by the Council. Following work items have been assigned for the WG Spectrum:

  1. Spectrum re-farming in SATRC countries
  2. Spectrum requirement estimation for IMT in SATRC countries
  3. Increasing role of network sharing regulation for SATRC countries: From passive network sharing to mobile virtual network operation
  4. Non-Ionizing radiation safety in frequency bands used for mobile telephone

The meeting will be attended by the experts from SATRC Members. Additional experts and representatives of the SATRC member countries as well as from Affiliate Members of those countries are also welcome.
