The Director General was part of the Sri Lankan delegation and accompanied the Special Envoy of His Excellency the President of Sri Lanka, Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya, who serves as the Chief Adviser to the President on the Digital Economy. The delegation represented Sri Lanka's commitment to advancing digital transformation, fostering international cooperation, and promoting inclusive and sustainable information and communication technologies.
During the Forum, Air Vice Marshal Bandula Herath (Retd) participated in the Regulators’ Roundtable, where he contributed to high-level discussions on contemporary regulatory challenges, emerging digital technologies, and policy frameworks aimed at strengthening the global digital ecosystem fully aligned with the Actionable Core Toolkit (ACT) announced in the seven governance essentials set out in the Global Symposium for Regulators (GSR)-26 Guidelines. His interventions highlighted Sri Lanka's ongoing initiatives in telecommunications regulation, digital connectivity, and the development of a resilient and inclusive digital economy in line with the objectives of the National Digital Economy Strategy 2030.
