Equipment Clearence System(ECS)

The Spectrum Management Division of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) wishes to inform all Vendor Licensees, Individual Users, and Corporate Users that access to the Equipment Clearance System (ECS) for device clearance is now available.

Applicability

The following services are available through the ECS:

• Type Approval requests
• Short Range Device (SRD) clearances – Low Power Devices, including Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices
• IMEI-enabled device clearances

ECS access is available to Vendor Licensees, Individual Users, and Corporate Users. Accordingly, registered Vendor Licensees, Individual Users, and Corporate Users can access and submit requests for the relevant services available through the ECS.

The system also facilitates the management of Type Approval processes in accordance with the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2196/51 on Radio and Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (RTTE) Type Approval Rules 2020

Registered vendors will receive their ECS login credentials via email once their registration details have been finalized.

Individual and Corporate Users can register and create their accounts directly through the ECS system using a valid email address.

Important Notes for vendors

1. Each Vendor Licensee user shall be linked to a unique email address in ECS. Multiple vendors cannot be managed from a single email.
2. If a single contact person manages multiple vendors, separate email accounts must be used for each vendor account.
3. This requirement is effective immediately for all vendors using ECS for applicable device clearance.
4. For security, you will be required to change your password upon first login to the ECS portal.
