Equipment Clearence System(ECS) Training  videos for Venders

NOTICE

The Spectrum Management Division of the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) wishes to inform all vendors that the onboarding process to the Equipment Clearance System (ECS) for device clearance is currently underway.

Applicability

• All vendors for Type Approvals request.
• All vendors who are related to Short Range Device-SRD clearances (Low Power Devices-WiFi and Bluetooth)
• All vendors who are related to IMEI enabled Devices clearances.

During this initial stage, ECS access will be granted only to Vendor License holders who import or manufacture IMEI-enabled devices or Short Range Devices (WiFi and Bluetooth) in Sri Lanka. The system will also manage all type-approval processes in accordance with the Extraordinary Gazette No. 2196/51 on Radio And Telecommunications Terminal Equipment (RTTE) Type Approval Rules 2020.

Vendors will receive ECS login credentials via email once their details are finalized. If you have not yet received your credentials, we kindly request your patience, as onboarding is being carried out in batches.

Note: New applications and renewals of Vendor Licenses will not be handled through ECS. For such matters, vendors are advised to follow the existing process.

Important Notes

1. Each Vendor Licensee shall be linked to a unique email address in ECS. Multiple vendors cannot be managed from a single email.
2. If a single contact person manages multiple vendors, separate email accounts must be used for each vendor account.
3. This requirement is effective immediately for all vendors using ECS for applicable device clearance.
4. For security, you will be required to change your password upon first login to the ECS portal.

If you experience login issues or encounter difficulties with onboarding, please contact the ECS Helpdesk:

Option 1: Email ecshelpdesk@trc.gov.lk with scanned (PDF) copies of your Vendor License and Business Registration.
Option 2: Complete the support form at https://forms.office.com/r/4ijtGYpQ4n. Once submitted, an email will be sent to your registered address, to which you can reply with the required documents.
