In commemoration of International Environment Day 2026, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL) organized an insightful guest lecture under the theme:
“Let’s Take Action to Minimize the Impact of Climate Change.”
The session was delivered by Prof. Erandathie Lokupitiya of the Department of Zoology and Environment Sciences, University of Colombo, a distinguished expert in environmental science and climate change.
The event was successfully held on 5th June 2026 at the TRCSL Main Auditorium, bringing together staff members and stakeholders to raise awareness on the urgent need for collective action towards environmental sustainability.
During the lecture, participants gained valuable knowledge on climate change impacts, practical mitigation strategies, and the role individuals and organizations can play in protecting the environment.
This initiative reflects TRCSL’s ongoing commitment to promoting environmental responsibility and supporting global efforts to combat climate change.
